The Borderlands 3 hotfix merger allows players to tweak and alter hotfixes added to the game by Gearbox. This tool has its own wiki page with useful instructions on how to install it.I It's an essential download for any player who wants to install mods or create their own for Borderlands 3.
Still, the Speedo Maker mod is worth an install for anyone who just feels like their playable character is a bit too slow. This mod requires users to download and use the Borderlands 3 Hotfix Merger, but it is otherwise quite a straightforward addition.
Borderlands how to install mod github
Unzip the entire folder somewhere you won't forget and then run the tool. The version number will be Version 1.25 - if it is not, you need to download the correct tool. Visit the github page for it here or download the tool that was linked previously.
With the tool open, you need to setup the filepath to your borderlands2.exe - this is typically in your steam folders, located at .\steam\steamapps\common\borderlands2\binaries\win32 - if you cannot locate your steam folder, open steam, go to your library, right click Borderlands 2 and select properties. Go to the tab Local Files and select Browse Local Files. You have now found where your Borderlands 2 is installed on your pc.
Currently the only thing in BL2: Exodus that you can swap/choose is the custom Vault Hunter Strife. In order to do so, you need to use Borderlands Community Mod Manager (BLCMM). If you do not already have BLCMM installed, you can click here and download it.
This is a visual and gameplay overhaul focused on running on old and new systems alike.I myself use a GTX 950 2GB VRAM, a Ryzen 5 2400G, 24GB RAM, have the game installed on an SSD and get 48-78 FPS in the Performance Profile, 34-60 FPS in the Balanced Profile(I will play with this most of the time) and 15-28 FPS with the Default Profile (the one without an extra profile name). All those FPS vales are with the ReShade on, if you turn it off (see Controls) you can gain between 5-15 FPS depending on the region and the weather.
I highly recommend uninstalling the game through Steam, deleting the game folder, and reinstalling it. You should also clean up the Skyrim Special Edition folder in Documents/My Games/ by deleting the contents in it.But verifying your installation via steam should be enough, if the installation fails follow the steps above.
The download and installation process can take a very long time depending on your system specs. Wabbajack will detect the optimal amount of threads at the beginning of the installation. To have the highest amount of threads and thus the fastest speed, it is advised to have the working folder on an SSD.
Updating is like installing. You only have to make sure that you select the same path and tick the overwrite existing Modlist button. Make sure to do backups of your saves in case anything goes wrong.
Fallout Character Overhaul: Multiple broken file paths which cause missing mesh triangles and pink textures. The installer auto-selects patches for mods you don't have installed and installs the Glowing Ghouls file which causes massive performance drops and save bloat. It doesn't cover every NPC in the game (Plus NPCs from the DLCs or mods), so any uncovered NPCs look very out of place. It requires the bLoadFaceGenHeadEGTFiles INI setting to be enabled, which causes performance loss due to generating NPC face textures on the fly in-game. It also overwrites many YUP fixes for NPCs, though these can be patched using FNVEdit. I recommend New Vegas Redesigned 2 Revised or Character Expansions Revised instead.
Although it may seem counterproductive to install a bunch of small mods to replace one big mod, these alternatives are all more efficient and performance friendly. They are 100% safe to use, and actually work, unlike Project Nevada:
Unlimited Companions (Or any other companion-related mods): Unlimited Companions re-compiles every script in the game and will break many mods. If you want unlimited companions, or other companion-related features like equipment managing, infinite ammo, combat-ready companions, and much more, use JIP Companions Command and Control. Before installing any mods that edit companion behavior, you should check if JIP CCC already does it. 2ff7e9595c
